MS Questions
Here are some of their interview questions (paraphrased):
This was a very interesting interview because the topics ranged from light questions to social/cultural and also some technical. Just the experience of the interview was such an amazing learning experience. There's obviously a difference in the way they screen people since they want to know HOW you think instead of what you know.
- What should MS do to change their image?
- Why do you mean when you say that the IPOD is part of a cultural movement? (a question in response to a discussion about IPOD)
- What are web services?
- What is your favorite soft drink?
- What do you see happening in the future in terms of software in a household environment?
- What is the open source revenue model like?
- On average, do you think more professionals work on open source software than an environment made of specialized professionals?
- Isn't open source software more prone to be taken advantage (due to a larger amount of people look at the software)?
- Per computer, where do you think Microsoft makes more of their revenue- on PCs or Macintosh?
- What are your plans after you graduate?
- Why are software developers important?

"Somehow I can't believe that there are any heights that can't be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret - curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable." -- Walt Disney.
