BoM: Chapter 1: Awakening (cont'd)
v
--
Towards the door, moving in pain
Wanting to remain within
Within the wooden sanctuary
Within dream and mind
The inevitability of the reunion from separation
Of returning outside one's thoughts
Burns hope into crusty crumbling charcoaled wood
vi
--
The door opens
Wind rages inside
Heat fills its hunger from the skin
The smoke searches for dark tunnels to traverse
The sanctuary must now be left
vii
--
The Earth seems to quiver
As the foot rests on it
Its nervous, beaten, hurt, sad
Afraid. Horrified
Poor humble witness
Of our delirious crimes
